1 thing I love about Summer: Film Screenings Outdoors!

{How could I replace those frequently rained out Movies on the Block from my summers spent in Providence? Well...in NYC there is SUMMER ON THE ROOF!}

Every Tuesday June through August on the rooftop of the Bohemian National Hall.

This Tuesday I went to see Jak utopit doktora Mrácka aneb Konec vodniku v Cechách (or, in English: How to Drown Dr. Mracek, the Lawyer) a hilarious Czech film from the 70s.
The film is about a family of water sprites and their efforts to save their water filled household from demolition.  We gathered on the rooftop with beautiful views of the sunset over the city, sat down with our water, wine and soda and prepared to giggle and smile, and be completely envious of the amazing outfits sported by the cast!
The film was so so funny, and really campy  and being outside on a roof in this beautiful city laughing with family and friends is just a perfect addition to summer.
